Chewin' a piece of grass...

Their finest moment.

I knew you'd put it up one day.

Pink Floyd, America - if you are really into this era I have recommendations coming from every pore. I have been listening to a bit of Allman Brothers, Spirit et al recently. I think you would love Spirit. But maybe you know them. If not I will wing a couple of gems over to you.

Spirit is a blank slate to me. Wing away...

On their way. Spririt were another great late sixties/early seventies San Fran band headed up by guitarist Randy California. They had two big hits in the US in the late sixties - 'I got a Line a line on you' and a superb anti vietnam track: 'Give a life, take a life' (which you are getting). Their classic album is 'The Twelve Dreams of Doctor Sardonicus' which is one of my alltime favourites and has the classic 'Me Skin' on it. However, i reserve a soft spot for their bicentennial celebration album 'Spirit of '76' whic opens witha stellar combination of 'America The Beautiful' and 'Like A rollin' Stone'. Unfortunately I only have this on (very rare!) vinly original and it is not yet on itunes!

Others on their way.
